All States Must Unite
Remember the times our kingdom was invaded by British Colonial and our King Thibaw was taken away but we the people of Myanmar; Burma, Chin, Kachin, Kayin (Karen), Kayah (Karenni), Mon, Rakhine (Arakan), Shan had all united as one, and marched forward to fight
even though we know we are outnumbered by ratio and disadvantaged against the weapons. But we have won victories in many battles, and with all of us united, we have survived Colonial (Twice Invasion) and Fascists (Once) with our efforts.
The time has come again to make the country free: Remember our motto! "Never Be Slaves and Servants!". This time we shall unite but win with PEACEFUL actions!
On June 19th 2007, Burma's democracy leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, celebrated
her 62nd birthday. But she spent her birthday alone, under house arrest.
She is now in her 12th year of detention. She isn't allowed to see family
or friends as all visitors are banned. Her phone line is cut and her post
is intercepted.
Join the global campaign to free Aung San Suu Kyi and all political prisoners
in Burma.
Aung San Suu Kyi is now serving her third term of house arrest. She was arrested
on 30 May, 2003 after the regime's militia attacked her convoy and killed
up to 100 of her supporters.
1988 History
In 1988 there was a nationwide pro-democracy uprising in Burma; the military
government suppressed the protests of students and others; as a result of
the movement of 1988 the National League for Democracy, led by Daw Aung San
Suu Kyi, came up and won the elections of May 1990 but the military government
refused to transfer power; the Burmese opposition in exile is still fighting
the government.
Censorship in Burma
Unsurprisingly, if you go to the government owned Myanmar.gov.mm or Myanmar.com,
you will NEVER see current protest news on there except about bird catching,
fieldtrips, and all the good news. Also the local newspaper are censored.
The censorship is no longer to protect the people BUT to keep people away
from the truth!
United Nations (UN),
European Union (EU), and all the major and minor countries around the globe,
here you will see people around the world, with their sincere hearts, supporting
to bring peace, justice and democracy to Myanmar (Burma) by signing the petition.
We urge all the nations to unite and consider resolving the century long crisis.
We request you to put economical matters aside and to procede with just judgements,
and actions to stop the violence of torturing, killing, burning/burying alive,
and inhumane brutal acts to the innocent monks, students, and citizens, by the
Burmese military regime. - Voices

Concern of the Month:
Soldiers of Myanmar (Burma), why are you still at the side of the unjust government? They are using you as their defense! They are making you kill your own brothers, sisters, and elders that you are suppose to be respecting. Back in 1988 1/2 of the military forces join the people for freedom of the country while the other half (main of you puppets) kill and shoot thousands of your people! If you all join the crowd, the tyrannical leaders will be defenseless and justice and freedom will be broguht to our country! Think about it. You own not much living in current situation, while the "masters" you are working for are extremely rich and they care nothing about you, but only about having puppets for them to control against Burmese. About time to reason and fight for your country the right way!
Myanmar, also known as Burma, is located in South East Asia; it
was the Golden Land where everyone in asian countries
wanted to visit, immigrate to and work at; even the European countries
wanted to invade it to use as the best base in asia back in history.
BUT as said, back in the history...
Myanmar (Burma) has now become and still gradually moving toward
one of the poorest countries in the world. The country is no longer
productive due to unjust rulings. Rich people are extremely rich
(those are of government's famalies or who work for government)
and poor ones are extremely poor. There is no such thing as middle
class in Myanmar.
Myanmar is claimed as a "democratic" country but the
actions of the local "regulators" (military rulers)are
of somewhat similar to communism, and the real democratic party
leaders are all put under house arrest; amongst them is Nobel Peace recipient Ms. Aung
San Su Kyi, the daughter of General Aung San (The general who led
victory against Japanese and English emperors during the World Wars
to keep freedom), and she was kept under house arrest still and
it had been 17 years or more. Citizens are punished heavily if they
were found working against the government or even if found expressing
their feelings out; freedom of speech is very much discouraged in
the country.
August 08, 1988. The Day Students and Monks Bravely Protests and Support to Bring Justice BUT 3000 of Them are shot to Death or Punished to Death. This bloodiest day will not be forgotten and the military ruling will never be approved and everyone longed for FREEDOM and Justice at ALL COSTS!
Translated Lyrics for 8/8/1988:
Intro Title: 8/8/88 Artists Intro
Let's make a name in history, together with our united strengths Bringing and marching with the flag of Peacock, the students and teachers of Myanmar
Where freedom of speeches done no matter what, in 8/8/88 Weaponless fight we endured, 8/8/88 We will struggle and fight to bring light to our pasts
We will write the new history for Myanmar for future citizens For all those born later, 8/8/88 For the lost human rights, 8/8/88 8/8/88
8/8/88, 8/8/88, 8/8/88 Challenging the bullets and guns and weapons Falling into pool of blood, we continue for victory
Many lifes are given, 8/8/88 Showing the bravery 8/8/88
Popes and monks being tortured and shot 100 feets away, giving their lives to get freedom
Wearing the blood of the fellow students, students in green and white uniforms keep going Most brutal and inhumane day 8/8/88 Through the smokes of gun powders, 8/8/88
We will change the history of nhumanity in Myanmar, in unison Waving the flag Peacock, we march, the students and teachers of Myanmar Fight for freedom 8/8/88 Fighting weaponless against, its our victory in another way,
Wearing the green and white school uniforms, students pay their lives, Even though we fall in blood, we hold strong for victory, The day we will never forget, 8/8/88 8/8/88, 8/8/88, 8/8/88
In 1988, there was a crashdown organized by activists but ended
in harsh tragedy and failure. Over 3000 activists,
mostly the students and monks who stood up to express
their feeling out and those who want to free the people of Myanmar
(Burma) from such unfair reigns. International armies were prepared
at the borders, about to come in to take the government off its
place if it were to continue 2 more days but the loss of over 3000
citizens somewhat restrict others to continue the protests and since
then the same government rules without any losses on their side.
The government has been ruling in its own way, restricting democratics
NLD parties from taking over the office even though the democratic
party has won the election many times.
Recently in August of 2007, peaceful protests begun again, and
150 protesters are arrested (will likely to be punished). Worst
of all highly respected monks are hit severly during the protests.
As before monks and students stay as first lines of defense in
getting peace in the nation, without fearing of getting punished.
Something MUST be done to free the people of Myanmar (Burma).
Signing this petition will allow other countries and people to know
how many of us support the democracy in Myanmar and justice! THERE
WILL BE JUSTICE!
